SEEING THE LIGHT
Seeing the Light comprises long exposure photographs are taken of a stop motion animation created with crochet. These images reminiscent of valves, lungs and bodily organs are then printed and mounted onto a vintage xray light box.
Creating a new future for textile craft where the use of technology is not as a replacement or automation process but as an overlay and an additional step. The hand made process is augmented with layers of digital process creating an other…a digital craft hybrid.
